World Class Diageo Bartendering Competition
June 2010
World Class Diageo Bartendering Competition gives an opportunity to all Bartenders to concoct the ULTIMATE Cocktails using spirits from International Brands from the House of DIAGEO.
3 of our talented Bartenders participated representing each from Taipan, Damansara & Ampang Outlets. They were Andrea, Farouk & Jojo and each participant had to create a distinctive yet balanced and creative cocktails from Singleton Whisky, Don Julio Tequila, Tanqueray 10 Gin, Kettle One Vodka & Ron Zacapa Rum.
Each contestant was judged based on product knowledge, recipe creation, taste and presentation of cocktail and public relations as well.
Farouk from Damansara won the Ron Zacapa Challenge and together with winners; Ash from Frangipanni, Rizal Jr from Alexis and Amanda from PJ Hilton represented Malaysia. They competed with Top Singaporean bartenders held at Conrade hotel on Monday, 28 June 2010.
Farouk came in third, while Ash came in second while Amanda will represent Malaysia in Athens, Greece sometime in July to compete with World Diageo Bartenders.
